Hello Jagan:
As one who has been in the Pakistan Air Force, all I can say that your efforts must be
lauded. There is no doubt that India and Pakistan jointly hold "great potential"
for bringing out the best and worst in each other but it is time to rise to higher level
of consciousness in order to achieving the best that our Creator intended for all mankind.
So starting from this premise I think it's time to put all recriminations, accusations,
bitterness, egos puallrecriminations, accusations, and tragic past behind, and look forward
to making this world a better place, starting from the Indo-Pakistan subcontinent.
It is natural for an Indian or a Pakistani to lavish praise on each other's country or
throw insults at each other. You cannot accept anything short of that. However, we all
have been endowed with an independent mind that should be used to forge bridges of
understanding, love, cooperation and harmony among the two great nations of this planet.
What does it matter who won or loss in any war? The fact that both nations had to go to a
number of " pointless" battles is bad enough. It would be foolish to believe
that India won and Pakistan lost, or Pakstan won and India lost in all of these
conflicts.Has anyone ever in this world won any war? Let's stop living in a fool's
paradise. Reality is that people die and suffer in any conflict, only war wins, and the
vicious circle of violence continues unabated. After 50 years of mistrust between India
and Pakistan as separate states, have we as Pakistanis and Indians not learnt any lession
from history? I strongly urge all the readers to refrain from personal attacks on each
other, put a hold on hostlie language or self-defeating egos, and take that bold step to
forge an understanding. Hatred only breeds more hatred and suffering; violence only breeds
more violence. Muscles or weapons do not make any nation strong. Its the mind, the faith
and the moral fibre of people that is the barometer of true strength. There are many
brilliant, talented and educated Pakistanis and Indians; and it does not matter how we all
address God in our own language, He is everybody's God, the Lord and Master.
Furthermore, to the die-hard Pakistani and Indian brothers, and sisters, I urge you all to
stop throwing accusations at each other. Jagan is only trying to show what in his opinion
appears correct. Let's at least give him the due credit for bringing this information to
us. We can then draw a rationale conclusion from it.
Finally talking of war and struggle, I have had my share, and have seen the face of war.
Believe me it is not pleasent one. I am at peace with myself now. However, if I would have
to fight for survival, I will not be lacking in determination and resoluteness. Knowledge
is power, and it does not belong to any one nation, country or people. Acquire it, digest
it and learn from it, and use it wisely. Time is running out on all of us.
