FORGOTTEN VALOUR: Sqn Ldr Ajjamada Bopayya Devayya,MVC  of the No.1 Tigers Squadron whose Gallantry went unrecognised for  a full 23 Years untill 1988. He is the only IAF officer to have  recieved  the MVC Posthumously.(Pic courtesy:India Today)

DOUBLE MVC: The only IAF officer to recieve the Maha Vir Chakra twice in combat against Pakistan. Then Sqn Ldr Padmanabha Gautam, A Canberra Pilot from the JBCU. He recieved a bar in 1971. (Pic Courtesy: Link)

Wg Cdr P P Singh MVC, OC No. 5
Tuskers Squadron (Canberras)
The third  MVC  of the war.
Wg Cdr W M Goodman MVC, OC No.31 Sqn , Mysteres, who flew the first sorties of the war on 1 Sep 65. Wg Cdr Jag Mohan Nath MVC and Bar
was the OC of the 106 PR Sqn.
Nath recived his first MVC in the China War.

TARGET BADIN: Wg Cdr Peter Maynard Wilson, VrC, led the Canberra raid on Badin Signal Unit and destroyed it in a daylight raid. He was the OC of No.16 Canberra Squadron (Pic Courtesy : Air Cmde Peter Wilson, VrC, via Gus Sheridan)

Fighter Combat Leader: Sqn Ldr Johnny William Greene, was the Gnat detachment commander from No.23 Squadron at Pathankot.Awarded the Vir Chakra for his leadership, he retired as Air Marshal.
